wow, its super cold in my house today. i woke up this morning and the thermostat hadnt even registered. i wish these folks would hurry up and get here to turn the gas heat on. but thats another story.

so tuesday i go to bww to tell my father that my heat isnt working. and he says, ahh your just some poor idiot and you dont know how to work the thermostat. RIGHT. ok so he tells me hes going to come over in the morning to check it out. well he makes it over here alright and to no surprise of my own...hes says, "wow" your heat really doesnt work. HELLO, i may only have a little bit of college education under my belt, heck ive even graduated from high school, ive lived 21 years with wannabe ecologists (i.e. keeping windows open in the south until june...who does that?), but damn if i wasnt right about the heat.

i didnt do much of anything today..not much is new on the homefront either. nikki doesnt feel well, i dont feel well, and ash doesnt feel well. do you think it could be the fact that we slept in a tent outside in the rain while it was oh say like 36 degrees outside? quite possibly, yes. so basically nikki and myself sat around doing nothing but watching tv and did a little sprucing of the willage2. such is life.

i picked up the boys today from school only to have them ogle at my new cd player that i had to put in my car. thanks goodness for emergency funds...now it wasnt like i HAD to put one in but who wants to drive around with no tunes? it seems like everytime i turn around these days, one of my gadgets dies...(i.e. my cell phone..no fault of my own i assure you. it just dove right into my toilet i swear. and now my cd player in my car finally crapped the big one on me yesterday. it not only ate my cd that i shoved in it but it made this awful gargling noise. could it be the music that did it in? i vote yes! and anyone who has driven with me can probably second that. i mean come on..anyone who gets to listen to hilary duff and britney spears all the time....no wonder it decided to flake. but its not my fault that my friends are mostly below the age of 10.)

so we are driving down the road tonight(Zachary, Mackenzie, and myself) and i say, "Hey Mack, are you going to go trick-or-treating?" He replies, "No." So im all like, "why not?" and his reply, "Im just too ugly, im going to have to trick-or-treat over the phone!!!" bahahahahah....this kid cracks my shit up! someone has been telling him yo mama jokes far too often. and sadly i know the culprit, a mr zachary b.

so after my lovely night of babysitting, i got to visit my dear dear dearest friend leighann tonight. unfortunately it was not for an exciting purpose...just a lesson plan...sadly, nothing devious. so we finally decide on a topic for our lesson....teaching body parts to a 2nd grader. joy joy joy. unfortunately these days you cant teach a 2nd grader what a sphincter is, so we had to stick with the basic head, and shoulders, knees, and toes (knees and toes) routine. we got it done though. even though its in serious need of twirking, it shall get us by for tomorrows class.

well party peeps..it is time to retire for the evening. im going to be hoisting my lovely self out of bed here in oh say 4 and half hours with a SMILE ON MY FACE AND CERTAINLY A SONG IN MY HEART (i do love my mother for that one!!)

fall break...

equals Sara didnt do shit. well other than the duties that were previously assigned to me. (i.e. feeding mrs. nichols cat, picking up the boys, and that pretty much sums it up) Which many people may see that as being lazy and it's pretty much true, but it was absolutely fabuloso!!! the last day of fall break is today but i dont have classes until thursday so really wednesday is yet another day off. I'll probably spend tomorrow frantically looking up information on my country for food and culture, im sure i will have something due in commumications, architecture....who the hell knows with that lady, and probably some laundry here and there. Today though is a different story. I am finally going to spend my gift card that the bonvallets gave me. Super!!! that is if i actually get off the couch to do said activity.

in other news, the family seems to be doing fine. dad=back surgery, mom=mom, lindsay=work, and i=yeah i still havent figured that one out yet. does anyone want to go grocery shopping for the girls at 3115? because if you want to i will be glad to send you a list via whatever means it needs to be sent. the boys are doing great as well. zachary is still overachieving, and mackenzie is still being mack. montana is going to be a blast yet another time!!! but thats not until march.

so cold...

ok so camping last night was a bust. well not really except the fact that it was freaking cold and raining, and while we had tons of fun around the campfire, apparently none of us know how to keep it going. oh so fun...ok so highlights of last evening.

1. they sold us wet wood

3. exactly how many college students does it take to light a camp fire? apparently we will never know.

7. you would think that 4 people sleeping in a 2 man tent = extra warmth. WRONG
8. theres nothing wrong with sleeping in 2 shirts, 2 hoodies, 2 pairs of pants, 2, pairs of socks, a hat, and my uggs.
9. i was so cold i drove all the way back to chatty, with my hoodie up. im just now thawing out.
10. Kerosene = way to much fun at a campsite.

i leave to come back home...they all wuss out and go home. in fact i dont blame them, it was super cold and super rainy. kudos to us for sticking it out through the night. some say we are weenies...i say so cold....

vomit makes everything easier....

bobbykkk and i went out tonight and he ended up vomiting on my kitchen floor. nothing says true friendship like cleaning up vomit. thats what me and the roommies did tonight. long story. if you must ask, just call me, it was super funny and i enjoyed it to its upmost extreme. in fact bobbykkk is soundly sleeping on the magic bed. at least i know he is safe and sound. but honestly peeps, i have never known bkkk to get this bad, i dont know what brought it on, but at least i was here to aid in his assistance. anyways, goodnight it has been a very long long long long long night so sweet dreams!!!

funny tshirts make me smile...

ok so i took it upon myself today to make my dear friend bobby a belated birthday present. yes i said make. i went and bought an extremely cheap tshirt from hobby lobby and some transfer letters. it is so fetch!!! i almost wish i had taken a picture. ok so that may be tomorrow nights activity at BWW. PICTURE TIME!! anyways back to the shirt...well sort of. Nikki, Ash, and I have decided to open a bar. well ok maybe one day, but until then bobbykkk has the very original shirt. on the front, and i quote the name of the bar, "Liquid Panty Dropper" and on the back, "Liquor in the front, Poker in the back." screw teaching, im marketing tshirt for a living.

one good friend and a friendly movie

ok so bobbykkk (aka my yardboy...lol) and i went to the movies tonight to see willy wonka. because well neither one of us had seen it. and it was playing at the $2.50 movies. what can i say, im a cheap date!!! 5 bucks for the both of us to see a movie and he paid, it was totally worth it :) but we both had a really good time. its always good to know you have one great friend ya know. thanks b.k. love ya man :)

not doing much of anything...

so ive got my boys tonight and the rest of the weekend and we are doing nothing but watching movies and vegging out! yeah go us. we are so excited about it. their fall break started today. so whats with hamilton county getting an entire week for fall break. when i was in elementary school where was that week? we didnt even get a day.

growing up...

sometimes i wish one day you could just wake up with a clean slate. i have been doing a bit of self-evaluation lately and i know i dont always make the best decisions and sometimes it comes back and bites me in the ass...but those are the moments that one learns from. there are things in my life which i wish i could take back, but i cant. i can only grow from the mistakes i have made. i am however not sorry for the person i have become. i would like to think that my parents have pushed me in the right direction, and for the most part yes. there are few things that have been learned the hard way and sorry to all of those who happened to be in my way when i had to learn them.

i learned today what heartache feels like. i have lost someone near and dear to my heart. and although i wish this did not have to happen it has. there is no getting around the things that have been said, nor being able to accept them. i have been deeply wounded and my heart hurts. what has happened should be deemed unforgiveable, but im torn between the the right thing to do, and my anger.

i realize that i must be true to myself first and foremost and then take babysteps from there. in the end everything will work itself out because i truly miss my friend.

spontaneous or what?

nothing much to report here from the homefront. sat on some babies this weekend and kicked it here at the willage2. although i did throw in a spontaneous roadtrip to IKEA this weekend. i love stores that are open until 9PM on sunday evenings. they make me happy. DeAnna banana went with and i finally got to say hello to her face and not just to the phone. i got back this evening and nikki and i made some mac-n-cheese. yumyum. and then we had a brief chat about he who must not be named...haha

oh yes and this ones for DeAnna...i officially cooked a home cooked meal....IT CAN BE DONE!!! and no one died mom! i am so the shit squared now!!! anyways, midterms are on their way so heres hoping i do well!! i should probably study or something.

ok since my exciting day yesterday, i have yet to do anything productive today...well i was productive i guess, but i really didnt want to do it. ok so i mowed the lawn today. boo, it sucked, it was hot, but on the plus side i did get to demolish some wild 'shrooms in the yard. it was a messy explosion. but super cool.

then i sat on some kids. you know how that goes. then i came back home and did the homeworky thing, it sucked, it blew, whatever. patio came over tonight and kicked it for a moment in time. mainly to see the halloween decor. so then my dear friend bobbykkk came and played tonight with me and nikki. ashley was on the phone tonight with he who must not be named...and thats not voldemort either peeps.

so now im sitting in my bed having finally figured out the inner twirkings of my new-fangled phone and wow, do i feel like a million bucks. so if i can figure out my phone and computer why cant i get a clue on my school work? oh well such is life. well im going to be on my merry way to dreamland momentarily so good night all and enjoy!

2 trips to walmart and a new hard drive later...

Today was a happy day!!!!

well it didnt really start off that way but it got totally way mucho better!!! during the wee hours of the morning oh say like 3-4 AM i sat frantically revamping my computer. so basically i sat in the emergency room (aka my bedroom which also was moonlighting as an operating room last night) wiping my hard drive clean. yes yes yes i know i am the shit. who would have thought that i, Sara Boyer, could actually help myself? anyways that is neither here nor there. so as my computer lied on my bed lifelessly totally near death, i made out a will for it. but did it need it. can i get a hell no?.....*HELL NO*. needless to say, my computer was recessitated quite successfully i might add and was discharged from the hospital around 9 AM this morning. but God bless laptops. because not only did i get to perform miracles in the luxury of my own home, but i also got to perform surgery in my bed!!!

So here are a few more great things that went on in my life today!

1. the ash and i decorated for halloween
2. it only took 2 trips to walmart :)
3. in less that an hour :)
4. imported 200 more songs into my collection
5. we have tacky orange lights on our railing out front. we are so pimp.
6. the ghost windsock scared the absolute poo out of me.
7. we bought halloween window gel thingys that glow in the dark.
8. even the bathroom is decked out! we can so poo in style now! ROCK ON!
9. had a friend profess his undying love for me yet another time!!!

and the totally coolest most happiest moment of my day today.....

the ash and i went to the brand spanking new super target on 153 for the sneak preview and got to buy buy buy!!! the grand opening isnt until saturday...how cool are we? i bought some new tweed charlottes for like 15 bucks. i heart target. it makes me smile :) so thanks for the great day everyone and to everyone who was a part of it....we are so doing this again tomorrow.

and its so 6 months until my birthday today. but who's really counting?
